André is making music since he was a kid. In 1969 he had together with Math Hendricks his
first gig as a bass guitar player with a band called Utopia , in this band the members after two years chanced instuments and André became the drummer of the band. In 1977 he discovered the southern rock and quite drumming he became lead guitarist in a Duch southernrock band called Colorado till he dicovered in 1985 the pedal-steelguitar. As steel player he was a member of the McVille country band and the Black hills country band. Because of the instument he becomes a well known session player in the Netherlands he did sessions for bands such as, Benny Jolink, de Kast, de Dijk, Henk Wijngaard, major Dundee, IOS, Normaal, George Baker and many more, he played on about 85 albums as a session player. André also made 3 solo albums, “The Rose”, “Steelin’ with friends” with guest players like; Normaal, Dixie Aces, Lloyd Green, Tom Brumley, Doug Jernigan, Gerry Hogan, Albert Lee, and several musical friends from the old day’s. His latest album
“ Blues, Country and Rock, that’s me” an album where André played all the instuments himself, this album is not yet released. After his Steelguitar period he picks up the Guitar again and starts a duch dialect southern rock band “ the Sjutters” .
During this time he also played in the famous Dutch band “ Normaal” where he started as lead guitarist as replacement for Alan Cascoine. Later on the Sjutters chanced their name to
“Black Point” same band and same music but in Enlisch. In 2008 Black Point stops but in 2009 André starts the band again with Frank Wetzels, Math Hendricks, Theo Hofmans and
